Chicago Start-Up Media Site ShadowReports.com Publishes Original Investigative Reports & Unique Feature Stories
ShadowReports First Major Investigation Reveals Explosive New Information About John Wayne Gacy Case
CHICAGO, IL — Feb. 8, 2011 — Today marks the official launch of Chicago-based ShadowReports.com, a start-up media site that publishes original investigative reports and unique feature stories written by freelance contributors.
“ShadowReports is committed to high-quality journalism and reporting that goes well beyond the limited coverage provided by large newspapers, wire services and other big news agencies,” says founder Chris Maloney, who also writes for the site. “And although ShadowReports may only publish one or two major investigative stories in a year, we promise each report will be original, accurate and newsworthy on a national scale.”
The first ShadowReports major investigation centers on the discovery of explosive new information in the John Wayne Gacy case, which ranks No. 13 on Time’s Top 25 Crimes of the 20th Century.
Gacy, who lived in the Chicago area, was executed in 1994 for murdering 33 young men and boys – most of whom were buried in a crawl space under his house.
Below are some key points from the exclusive story – “Unfinished Nightmare: The Search for More Victims of John Wayne Gacy.”
■ The story contains original interviews and exclusive never-before-seen documents that strongly suggest Gacy committed more than 33 murders and used a location in a quiet Chicago family neighborhood to dispose of the bodies.
■ The story also reports, for the first time, the riveting details of the 1998 Chicago Police Department investigation into that location – an apartment building near O’Hare International Airport.
■ The story brings readers inside closed-door meetings with high-ranking CPD officials and other crime experts as they try to deal with the new Gacy information.
■ The multi-layered story is filled with bombshell allegations and controversy that add a dynamic twist to the underlying mystery.
In addition to investigative stories, ShadowReports publishes unique feature articles that are also expected to make the independent site stand out.
On Tuesday, April 5, 2011, ShadowReports feature division will publish the extraordinary and heartbreaking story – “Eaten Alive: Five Killer Croc Attacks.”
The compelling five-part series includes stunning photos that make the article a must-read.
